Our Story

We founders of Neobium have been running a business (Cosmos Purification Systems) since 1989, catering mainly to ultra pure water requirements of hospitals. Around 10 years ago, Cosmos pivoted to supplying wastewater treatment plants to hospitals, industries and IT parks across India. The company has supplied to clients such as L&T, Accenture, Ford Motors, the Sanmar Group, and the Apollo Group of Hospitals

Clients supplied with capacities ranging from 250 kilolitres per day (KLD) to 10 million litres per day (MLD). This has provided the founders a deep knowledge of the sector and of customer requirements and germinated the idea of providing wastewater treatment and reuse as a service.

Our Approach

Our approach is to understand our customers’ water needs and design a wastewater treatment solution using an appropriate technology that enables in either recycling water or reducing carbon footprint, or both. We build, own and operate the system, providing treated water to the customer. Our solution always enables the customer to comply with local environmental laws.

Our Team

Aditya Ravindranath

Founder

Adithya is the founder of a pioneering start-up in the water and wastewater management sector, specializing in Build-Own-Operate (BOO) solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Marine Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, (Ranchi), and brings over 15 years of expertise in water and wastewater management. To further his entrepreneurial acumen, he completed the Management Program for Entrepreneurs and Family Business (MPEFB) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore. He has successfully executed projects for renowned clients such as L&T, Accenture, Ford Motors, the Sanmar Group, and the Apollo Group of Hospitals with capacities ranging from 250 KLD to 10 MLD. With deep expertise in implementing cutting-edge technologies in the water and wastewater industry, he is recognized as a skilled team builder and visionary business leader. Beyond work, he enjoys travelling and is an avid sports lover, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every aspect of his life.

M K Karunanidhi

Founder

Mr. M.K. Karunanidhi is the Managing Director of Leadking Consolidators Pvt. Ltd., a leading freight forwarding company. He has also served as Director at Cosmos Purification Systems Pvt. Ltd., specializing in wastewater recycling, and is currently a Director at V Smart Infra Pvt. Ltd., focused on real estate and warehousing. He is the founder of Neobium Enviro Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a company delivering advanced water and environmental solutions. With diverse experience across logistics, infrastructure, and environmental sectors, he is known for his strategic leadership and entrepreneurial drive.

Sridhar Sampath

Co-Founder

Sridhar is a senior project finance and corporate finance professional with 35 years’ experience in both debt and equity investments. Previously he was with US-based water-focused impact investment fund manager WaterEquity, as Senior Director for Infrastructure Investments. He has in the past been advisor for many years to impact investment funds (BESTSELLER FOUNDATION and CSR Capital) and development financial institutions (IFU, Denmark and TFI-BGK, Poland). He has worked with the ICICI Bank group for more than 9 years. Sridhar has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and a post-graduate diploma in management (PGDM) from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
